Nora Mørk (born April 5, 1991 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian handball player .
Career
society
Nora Mørk started playing handball at the Norwegian club Bækkelagets SK at the age of six . Eight days after her 16th birthday, she ran for the first time with the first women's team. In 2007 Mørk joined the Danish club Aalborg DH , with whom she took part in the EHF Cup . After Aalborg had started the season badly and played against relegation, Aalborg DH's Norwegian coach Leif Gautestad was dismissed at Christmas time; shortly afterwards she left Aalborg DH. The rest of the 2007/08 season she played again for Bækkelagets SK in Norway. After the end of the season, she signed a contract with the Norwegian first division promoted Njård. In the summer of 2009 she moved to the Norwegian first division club Larvik HK . In 2010 and 2011 she won the Norwegian Championship with this team and in 2011 the EHF Champions League . In May 2011, Nora Mørk suffered from knee pain, which is why she had an operation; Due to several complications, she had to undergo knee operations six times. Only at the end of the 2012/13 season she returned to the Larvik HK squad and was used in the last games of the 2012/13 season and in the Champions League final. From the 2016/17 season she ran for the top Hungarian club Győri ETO KC . In February 2018, Mørk suffered a cruciate ligament injury, after which she was paused until March 2019. In summer 2019 she joined the Romanian first division club CSM Bucharest . Shortly before the start of the 2019/20 season, she had to have another knee operation. In February 2020, she had to undergo knee surgery for the 10th time in her career. Mørk joined Norwegian first division club Vipers Kristiansand in summer 2020 .
National team
Mørk has so far played 117 international matches for the Norwegian national team , in which they scored 566 goals. With Norway she won the European Championship in 2010 . The Norwegian continued to take part in the 2013 World Cup. She won the gold medal at the 2014 European Championship and was elected to the All-Star Team. In 2015 Mørk won the World Championship and she was elected to the All-Star Team. She won the bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . At the 2016 European Championship , she won the European Championship again, was elected to the All-Star Team and was also the tournament's top scorer with 53 goals. Mørk won the silver medal at the world championship a year later . In addition, she was elected to the All-Star Team and became the tournament's top scorer with 66 goals.
