Isabelle Therese Gulldén (born June 29, 1989 in Gothenburg ) is a Swedish handball player .

Career

Gulldén began playing handball at IK Sävehof at the age of seven , with whose women's team she later played in the top Swedish division. With Sävehof, the backcourt player won the Swedish championship in 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011. In addition, the right-hander qualified with Sävehof for the EHF Women's Champions League 2007/08 , but was eliminated in the group stage. In the summer of 2011, Gulldén moved to the Danish first division club Viborg HK . With Viborg she won the 2014 European Cup Winners' Cup and the Danish championship. From summer 2015 she was under contract with the Romanian first division club CSM Bucharest . With Bucharest she won the EHF Champions League in 2016 . In the final she scored a total of 15 goals. She was also the top scorer in the 2015/16 Champions League season with 104 goals. She also won the Romanian Championship and the Romanian Cup in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Since the 2018/19 season she has been playing for the French club Brest Bretagne Handball . From January to October 2019 she was on pause due to pregnancy.

Gulldén has played 202 games for Sweden so far , in which she scored 786 goals. With Sweden she finished ninth at the 2008 European Championships . In addition, Gulldén took part in the 2008 Summer Olympics, where they failed in the quarter-finals at the eventual Olympic champion Norway. She is part of the roster of her national association at the 2009 World Cup in China . At the European Championships 2010 Gulldén finished 2nd. In summer 2012 she took part in the Olympic Games in London . At the 2014 European Championships she won the bronze medal and was honored with the MVP title . In addition, she won the top scorer's crown with 58 goals. She also took part in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , the 2016 European Championship , the 2017 World Championship and the 2018 European Championship .

Her uncle Christer Gulldén is a former wrestler who also competed in the Olympics. She is in a relationship with handball goalkeeper Linus Persson . She gave birth to a son in July 2019.
