Partille is a district in the Gothenburg metropolitan area and part of the Gothenburg crime scene , but has the status of a capital for the Swedish community of the same name .

Partille was built around a noble manor. Today the European route 20 and the railway line from Gothenburg to Stockholm cross the settlement.

Partille Manor

The history of the manor goes back to the 14th century. The existing manor house was commissioned by David af Sandeberg, the director of the Swedish East India Company at the time. William Chambers is named as the architect, but it is believed that the city architect of Gothenburg, Carl-Wilhelm Carlberg, played a major role in the construction. The building is three stories high and built with Dutch bricks.

railway station

The station building was built in the middle of the 19th century as one of the ten type models that Adolf W. Edelsvärd had designed for the Swedish State Railways .

The lower floor contained the sales rooms, waiting rooms, a guard room and servants' apartments. The vestibule of larger models was merged with the waiting room for 3rd class. The building has some picturesque additions such as an asymmetrical structure with a clock tower and acroterion .
