Karoline Charlotte Dyhre Breivang (born May 10, 1980 in Oslo , Norway ) is a former Norwegian handball player . She is the record player for the Norwegian national handball team .

Career

Breivang began playing handball at Stabæk when he was five. At the age of fifteen, the right-hander moved to Hosle IL, for which she was active for three years. Then she returned to Stabæk. With NTG / Stabæk the backcourt left played in the highest Norwegian league. In 2005 she left Stabæk, and then ran for the Norwegian top club Larvik HK . With Larvik she won the Norwegian championship in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017, the European Cup Winners' Cup in 2008 and the EHF Champions League in 2011 . Between autumn 2016 and February 2017 she was on pause due to pregnancy. She ended her career after the 2016/17 season.

Breivang completed 305 games for the Norwegian team. With the Norwegian selection, she won the European Championship in 2004 , 2006 , 2008 , 2010 and 2014 . At the 2007 World Cup in France, she was runner-up. A year later she won the gold medal at the Olympic Games . In 2009 Breivang won bronze at the World Championships in China . At the 2011 World Cup she won the world title. In the summer of 2012, Breivang again took part in the Olympic Games in London , where she again won the gold medal. The Norwegian continued to take part in the 2013 World Cup. In March 2015, she announced the end of her international career.
