Camilla Dalby (born May 15, 1988 in Randers ) is a former Danish handball player .

Career

Dalby began playing handball at Spentrup IF when he was four years old. She then played for Randers Freja, who later merged with other clubs to form Randers HK . On September 16, 2006 she was used in the game against Slagelse DT for the first time in the Danish top division. With Randers she won the EHF Cup in 2010 and the Danish Championship in 2012. In the 2012/13 season she scored the most goals in the Danish Damehåndboldligaen with 187 goals. In summer 2013 she moved to the Montenegrin association ŽRK Budućnost Podgorica . With Budućnost Podgorica she won the championship and the Montenegrin Cup in 2014 and 2015 and the EHF Champions League in 2015 . In the summer of 2015 she returned to Randers. After the 2018/19 season, she ended her career.

Dalby played 108 appearances for the Danish national team , in which they scored 303 goals. For the first time she took part with Denmark in the European Championships in 2008 . She then took part in the 2009 World Cup . She was also part of the Danish squad at the 2010 European Championships , which Denmark finished in 4th place. A knee injury prevented her from participating in the 2011 World Cup . At the 2012 Olympic Games she was back in the Danish squad, with which she finished ninth. After surviving an injury, she was not nominated for the EM 2012 due to her form . At the 2013 World Cup , Dalby was initially only in the extended squad and only moved into the Danish squad in the quarterfinals. With Denmark she won the bronze medal. She then ended her international career.

Dalby also played 30 caps for the U20 national team. In 2007 she won the U20 European Championship with Denmark. A year later she was U20 vice world champion. In addition, she was the top scorer of the U20 World Cup in 2008 with 65 goals.
