Jelena Erić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Јелена Ерић ; born October 12, 1979 in Novi Sad ) is a former Serbian handball player who played for both the Serbian-Montenegrin national team and the Serbian national team.

Career

In the club

Jelena Erić initially threw her goals for ŽRK Radnički Belgrade, which she left in 2003 for ŽRK Knjaz Miloš. With both clubs she took part in European competitions for club teams. For the 2005/06 season the back player moved to the Danish first division club KIF Kolding . Here she quickly developed into a top performer and was KIF's most successful goalscorer in her first season. In the 2007/08 season Erić finished second in the scorers list of the Danish league and was elected to the Allstar team.

Erić joined league rivals Randers HK in 2009 . A year later, she won the EHF Cup with Randers . In 2011 she returned to Serbia and played there for ŽRK Zaječar . From summer 2012, the Serbian was under contract with the Russian first division club GK Astrachanotschka , where she ended her career in 2014.

In the national team

Jelena Erić played for the Serbian-Montenegrin and the Serbian selection. With the Serbian national team she took part in the 2013 World Cup. During the tournament she scored six goals in nine encounters and won the silver medal . After the tournament ended Erić her international career.
