Katja Langkeit (born November 22, 1983 in Rostock ) is a former German handball player .

Life

The 1.76 m tall left winger began playing handball at HC Empor Rostock at the age of eight . In 1999 she moved to HC Leipzig . The fast, jumping and throwing player formed the duo on the left wing with Idalina Borges Mesquita in the 2006/07 season in Leipzig . In the previous season, she was considered the strongest duo in the Bundesliga with Camilla Thorsen, who moved to Denmark .

From the 2007/08 season she played two seasons for the Rhein-Main bees . Langkeit moved to HSG Blomberg-Lippe for the 2009/10 season .

For the 2011/12 season she moved to league competitor Buxtehuder SV and replaced Susanne Petersen there , who ended her career. Langkeit ended her career after the 2012/13 season.

On June 10, 2006, she played her first international match for the German national handball team , in which she threw 3 goals against the Swiss national handball team . Langkeit completed 17 internationals in which she scored 28 goals.
