European Women's Cup (handball) 1988/89

At the European Champion Clubs' Cup in 1988/89 took 27 Handball -Vereinsmannschaften part from 27 countries. They qualified for the European Cup in their home countries in the previous season . The 29th edition of the competition saw the final for the third time in a row between defending champion Spartak Kiev and Hypobank Südstadt Wien . After two defeats in previous years, Vienna was the first Austrian team to win a title in a European handball competition.
