European Champion Clubs' Cup (handball) 1979/80

At the European Champion Clubs' Cup in 1979/80 took 23 Handball -Vereinsmannschaften part from 22 countries. They qualified for the European Cup in their home countries in the previous season . At the 20th edition of the competition, TV Großwallstadt successfully defended its title from the previous year. Teams from Poland , Romania , the Soviet Union and the GDR did not take part in the competition due to the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow .
