Peter Meisinger (born December 16, 1954 in Darmstadt ) is a former German handball player and coach .

He played in the German handball league for TV Großwallstadt . For the German national handball team , he played 65 international matches in which he scored 111 goals. In his active career, Meisinger scored 896 goals for TV Großwallstadt. He had to end his career in 1984 because of hip problems.

After his active career, Meisinger became a trainer at TV Großwallstadt. He led TV Großwallstadt to its last national championship in 1990. A year earlier, the TVG was DHB Cup winner under Meisinger against VfL Gummersbach . So far, the last highlight in Meisinger's coaching career was winning the European Cup against the Spanish club CBM de Valladolid in 2000 . After Meisinger resigned in 2005 after eight years in the office of trainer, he took over the function of sports director at TVG. He was succeeded by Michael Roth .

From July 1, 2007 to October 30, 2007 Meisinger was a trainer at TBV Lemgo . Meisinger received a three-year contract, which was terminated by mutual agreement after only four months.

Meisinger has been sports director at TV Großwallstadt since January 12, 2013 .

Meisinger is a travel agent by profession and runs two travel agencies in Obernburg and Erlenbach .
