Sepp Ketterer

Sepp Ketterer ; Born Josef Ketterer (born February 11, 1899 in Altglashütten , Baden-Württemberg , † January 11, 1991 in Vienna ) was a German cameraman .

Life

Sepp Ketterer trained in photography after completing elementary and trade school. He was an active skier and photographer. From 1930 he acted as a camera assistant or subordinate cameraman. As such, he participated in Leni Riefenstahl's Olympics , among others .

After the war, Ketterer worked as a chief cameraman. He provided the images mainly from numerous homeland films and comedies . Among them was the classic Heimat film, Der Forster vom Silberwald, peppered with a wealth of nature shots .
