Verónica María Cuadrado Dehesa (born March 8, 1979 in Santander ) is a former Spanish handball player .

Career

Cuadrado moved from the Spanish club Akaba Bera Bera to SD Itxako in 2002 . In 2004 the cyclist signed a contract with Astroc Sagunto . With Astroc Sagunto she won the Spanish championship and the Supercup in 2005. In the summer of 2011 she moved to the Danish first division club Randers HK . After Cuadrado won the championship with Randers in 2012, she switched to league rivals KIF Vejen . A season later, however, she returned to Randers. After the 2014/15 season she left and returned to Spain. From August 2015 she worked for the Spanish association Club Balonmano Camargo in the promotion of young talent. In August 2019 she took over the position of assistant coach at Helvetia Alcobendas.

Cuadrado made 175 appearances for the Spanish national team , scoring 222 goals. With Spain she moved into the final of the European Championship 2008 , which Norway won with 34:21. In 2011 she was part of the Spanish squad at the World Cup in Brazil , which won the bronze medal. A year later Cuadrado took part in the Olympic Games in London , where she also won the bronze medal.
