Line Ryborg Jørgensen (born December 31, 1989 in Hvidovre , Denmark ) is a Danish handball player who plays for the Danish first division team Esbjerg .

Career

Jørgensen started playing handball at Hvidovre IF when he was three and a half years old . The left-hander BK Ydun joined when she was twelve. In 2008, the backcourt player moved to the first division GOG . In 2010 she signed a contract with FC Midtjylland Håndbold . With FCM she won the Danish championship in 2011, 2013 and 2015, the EHF Cup in 2011, the Danish Cup in 2012 and 2014 and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 2015 . From summer 2015 she ran for the Romanian first division club CSM Bucharest . With CSM Bucharest she won the championship in 2016, 2017 and 2018, the Romanian Cup in 2016, 2017 and 2018 and the EHF Champions League in 2016 . In the summer of 2018 she moved to Team Esbjerg . With Esbjerg she won the Danish championship in 2019 and 2020. Due to her pregnancy, she took a break in the summer of 2020.

Jørgensen has played 149 caps so far, scoring 352 goals. With the Danish selection, she took part in the 2009 , 2011 and 2013 World Championships . Jørgensen won the bronze medal at the 2013 World Cup and scored 20 goals in nine games. In summer 2012 she took part in the Olympic Games in London .

Her siblings also played handball. While her sister was active for the second division club BK Ydun, her two half-brothers Jan and Kenn played in the national team.
