Ida Alstad (born June 13, 1985 in Trondheim ) is a Norwegian handball player .
Career
Alstad played from her childhood for the Norwegian club Byåsen IL , with whose women's team she later played in the top Norwegian league. With Byåsen, the backcourt player was in the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup in the 2006/07 season . From summer 2013 she played for the Danish first division team Tvis Holstebro . In the 2014/15 season she ran for league rivals FC Midtjylland Håndbold . With FCM she won the Danish Championship in 2015, the Danish Cup in 2014 and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 2015 . In the final of the Danish Cup in December 2014, her Achilles tendon tore , causing her to be out for the rest of the 2014/15 season. In summer 2015 she returned to Byåsen IL. In January 2016 she moved to the top Hungarian club Győri ETO KC . With Győri ETO KC, she won the Hungarian Championship, the Hungarian Cup and was in the final of the EHF Champions League in 2016 . She returned to Byåsen IL in summer 2016. In the 2017/18 season she took a pregnancy break. In December 2019, she sustained a cruciate ligament injury .
Alstad has so far been used in 143 games of the Norwegian national handball team , in which they scored 310 goals. With the Norwegian team, the right-hander took 3rd place at the 2009 World Cup in China . At the European Championships 2010 Alstad won the European title. At the 2011 World Cup she won the world title. In the summer of 2012 Alstad took part in the Olympic Games in London , where she won the gold medal. The Norwegian continued to take part in the 2013 World Cup. In 2014 she celebrated her second European title. At the 2015 World Cup , which Norway won, she was only nominated during the tournament. She won the bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .
