The Hamburg Sports Hall , also known as the Alsterdorfer Sports Hall , is the second largest event hall in Hamburg with a capacity of 7,000 spectators (approx. 4,000 standing and 3,000 seats) . It is operated by the Hamburg-Nord district office and is located in the Winterhude district on the border with the Alsterdorf district (Krochmannstrasse 55).

From its completion in 1968, especially since the demolition of the Ernst-Merck-Halle at the end of the 1980s, to the opening of the Barclaycard Arena in 2002 in the Volkspark , it was the most important hall for music and sporting events in Hamburg. Even today, concerts by well-known pop and rock musicians as well as sporting events take place here, including the Hamburg Police Sports Festival. In addition to the event hall, there has been an athletics hall for training and competitions since 2006 .
