Tonje Nøstvold Lunde (born May 7, 1985 in Stavanger , Norway ; born Tonje Nøstvold ) is a former Norwegian handball player . She last played for the Norwegian club Sola HK and was part of the squad of the Norwegian national handball team .

Career

Nøstvold started playing handball at the age of seven in Hundvåg . After the left-hander then worked for Sola HK, she moved to Byåsen IL in 2005 . With Byåsen she was in the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup in 2007 , but failed there at the Romanian representative CS Oltchim Râmnicu Vâlcea . From 2008 Nøstvold went for the Danish first division club FC Midtjylland Håndbold on the hunt for goals, with which she won the EHF Cup and the championship in 2011 . From the summer of 2011 she went back hunting for Byåsen. In November 2014, she announced her pregnancy and the end of her professional career. In January 2016 she made her comeback for Sola HK. After Nøstvold, who married soccer player Christoffer Midbøe Lunde in summer 2018 , became pregnant again in October 2018, she ended her career.

Nøstvold completed 183 games for the Norwegian selection. With the Norwegian team, she won the European Championship in 2006 , 2008 and 2010 . At the 2007 World Cup in France, she was runner-up. A year later she won the gold medal at the Olympic Games . She was part of the squad of her national association at the 2009 World Cup in China . She also took part in the 2011 World Cup in Brazil, where Norway won the World Cup. In summer 2012 she took part in the Olympic Games in London and became an Olympic champion there. The Norwegian continued to take part in the 2013 World Cup.
