Majda Mehmedović (born May 25, 1990 in Bar , Yugoslavia ) is a Montenegrin handball player .

Career

Mehmedović played for the Montenegrin first division club ŽRK Budućnost Podgorica , with whom she won national championships and the cup several times. International which could winger to Budućnost with 2010 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup , and in 2012 and 2015, the EHF Champions League win. In summer 2016, she moved to the Romanian first division club CSM Bucharest . With Bucharest she won the Romanian Championship in 2017 and 2018 and the Romanian Cup in 2017, 2018 and 2019. In summer 2019 she returned to ŽRK Budućnost Podgorica.

Mehmedović won the bronze medal at the U20 World Cup in 2010. She belongs to the squad of the Montenegrin national team . With Montenegro she took part in the 2011 World Cup. In the summer of 2012, Mehmedović took part in the Olympic Games in London with Montenegro , where she won the silver medal. In the same year she won the European title with Montenegro . She also took part in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , the 2016 European Championship and the 2018 European Championship . At the EM 2018 she was elected to the All-Star team.
