The river Târnava (German Kokel , Hungarian Küküllő , Transylvanian-Saxon Keakel or Kakel ) is the longest tributary of the Mureș (Mieresch) with 246 kilometers . In the Transylvanian Basin in the Kokel Valley , the Târnava is fed by the rivers Târnava Mare (Big Kokel) and Târnava Mică (Little Kokel) , and flow together at Blaj (Bubble Village) . The Târnava flows into the Mureș after 23 kilometers at Mihalț . Mediaș (Mediasch) is one of the most important cities on the Kokel .
