T. Alan Broughton
Thomas Alan Broughton (born June 9, 1936 in Bryn Mawr , Pennsylvania , † May 17, 2013 in Chittenden County , Vermont ) was an American poet and novelist.
Life
He attended Harvard University , Exeter Academy and the Juilliard School of Music . From 1966 to 2001 he taught creative writing at the University of Vermont .
He was the son of the classical scholar Thomas Robert Shannon Broughton .
