The TC Weimar 1912 eV is a Thuringian tennis club , which was founded on October 24, 1990 . Its predecessors were the Weimar "Lawn Tennis Club 1912" founded on July 2, 1912 , which from 1921 was called "Weimar Tennis Club 1912". After tennis came to a standstill in Thuringia with the Second World War , it was newly accepted into the company sports associations (BSG) in Weimar in the GDR . After the reunification of Germany, the BSG Turbine Weimar was dissolved on October 24, 1990 and transferred to TC Weimar 1912 eV.

He belongs to the Thuringian Tennis Association and the Landessportbund Thuringia .

The club's facility has nine clay courts and three artificial turf courts. In 2004 the club had ten teams in the adult division and four in the youth division. The 1st men 30, who play in the 2nd Bundesliga North, and the 1st women, who play in the regional league, have the highest ratings. But the 1st gentlemen 30 dismounted again; at least they managed to win against Oldenburg. In the 2005 season, the team of the first women rose from the regional league in the league. The figureheads are again the 1st men 30, who were able to establish themselves in the midfield of the regional league.

The club’s greatest successes include the promotion of the 1st men 30s to the 2nd Bundesliga and two East German championships of the 1st men 30s in 2002 and 2003. In 2004 the club was once again named the best club in Thuringia .
