The station was founded on April 23, 1993 by İhlas Yayın Holding under the name TGRT (Türkiye Gazetesi Radyo Televizyonu; German: radio and television of the newspaper Türkiye). In 2001 the station was sold to the state trust company TMSF . In 2004 the İhlas Group bought back the station and sold it on July 23, 2006 to the American media company News Corporation .

On February 24, 2007, the station was renamed FOX. From 2007 to 2009 the station was broadcast under the name FOX Turk with its own advertising window in Europe. Since July 1, 2012, the station has also been broadcasting in HD . After the News Corporation split into two independent listed companies on June 28, 2013, the broadcaster went to 21st Century Fox , which continues the film and television business.

program

FOX presents a full program from news programs to entertainment programs of all kinds. The program includes the television series Muhteşem Yüzyıl Kösem , the continuation of the internationally successful series Muhteşem Yüzyıl , as well as the series O Hayat Benim , which is also broadcast abroad . The main news program with journalist Nazlı Tolga (until 2013) and Anchorman Fatih Portakal is considered a news program critical of the government.
