The TK-Gemeinschaft, an independent community of insured members of the Techniker Krankenkasse e. V. is an association of insured persons of the Techniker Krankenkasse (TK), which is actively committed to the maintenance and further development of the structured social insurance and the interests of the insured at TK.

The association stands for election for the board of directors of TK and for the representative assembly of the German pension insurance system, which takes place every six years . The TK-Gemeinschaft has its seat in Hanover and is registered under the association register number 4299 at the Hanover District Court. The chairman is Dieter F. Märtens. The TK-Gemeinschaft is a supporting member of the Central Association of Engineering Associations (ZBI).

Organization and membership

Anyone insured with Techniker Krankenkasse who has reached the age of 16 can become a member. The bodies of the TK community are:

  • The Assembly of Delegates
  • The board of directors

The TK community is divided into regional working groups. The organs of the working groups are:

  • The working group board

tasks and goals

The TK community has a seat and vote in the self-governing bodies of the DRV representative assembly and the DRV executive board as well as the TK administrative board and in the committees of TK and DRV. Another important task is advising citizens close to their place of residence on pension issues by DRV insurance advisors and representing insured persons in the DRV and TK appeal committees. In the association of the working group of independent member communities of the Ersatzkassen eV (AGuM) she advises the social legislature and represents the interests of her members in the social policy .

purpose

According to its own statements, the association is neither party-political, trade union, denominational, nor economically bound. It is selflessly active and pursues exclusively and directly charitable purposes within the meaning of the section "tax-privileged purposes" "of the tax code . The TK-Gemeinschaft has the following tasks in particular:

  • Advice on social policy issues
  • Advocate for structured social security and for the maintenance and strengthening of the self-administration principle
  • Support for its members working in the self-governing bodies
  • Influencing public opinion through publications
  • Participation in the social elections (especially with the Techniker Krankenkasse and the pension funds).
