The TNF receptor 8 (synonymous CD30 ) is a surface protein from the group of TNF receptors .

properties

TNF receptor 8 is the receptor for TNFSF8 (synonymous CD30L ), whereupon NF-κB is formed. It is formed by activated T and B cells and is involved in the activation and cell division of lymphoblasts . It is glycosylated and phosphorylated . TNF receptor 8 is a target in the treatment of Hodgkin lymphoma , e.g. B. by cancer immunotherapy .

TNF receptor 8 binds to TRAF5 , TRAF1 , TRAF2 and TRAF3 .
