Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily 5 (synonymous TNFRSF 5 , CD40 ) is a surface protein from the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily .

properties

CD40 is a co- stimulator in B cells , dendritic cells, and some tumors . It is the receptor of TNFSF5 ( CD40L ). CD40 is involved in the activation of ERK in macrophages and B cells , whereupon antibodies are increasingly secreted in B cells . It's glycosylated .
