The TR-Verlagsunion GmbH, a subsidiary of the Südwestrundfunk (SWR), was a company in Munich , the accompanying material mainly for the adult education , z. B. for the Telekolleg sales. Usually it was textbooks, CD-ROMs , DVDs , video cassettes and voice cassettes .

In addition to SWR, Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR) and twelve publishers were also shareholders.

Broadcast texts were also published under the name Tele-Manuscriptdienst . Speech cassettes appeared with the tr audio logo , which is black and resembles the logo that was used until 2002.

The TR publishing union (T = Television, R = Radio) was founded in 1968 on the initiative of the then director of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation, Christian Wallenreiter . It was later liquidated and therefore ceased operations on December 15, 2006.
