The Latin formation at the German Formation Championship 2008

The A-formation of TSG Lüdenscheid was founded in 1995 and started in 1996 in the regional league West II Latin with its own music by the group "Queen". The season was completed as the group first and achieved direct promotion to the Oberliga West Latin.

In 2002, under the new coach Bernd Waldschmidt, he was promoted to the West Latin regional league with the choreography "Classic" by TD TSC Düsseldorf Rot-Weiss . In the first year in the regional league, the team qualified with the same choreography for the promotion tournament to the 2nd Bundesliga, in which the promotion was missed.

At the end of 2004, the club succeeded in winning Petra Heiduk as head coach. Thanks to the good cooperation of the five-man coaching team around Petra Heiduk, Richard Erning, Bernd Waldschmidt as well as Dirk and Alla Bastert, the A-formation achieved promotion to the 2nd Latin Bundesliga in May 2005. In the second season at the national level, in March 2007, the team was able to secure promotion to the first division Latin and the first participation of a Lüdenscheid formation in the German championships as second place in the second division. The championship was finished with the 6th place. In the following Bundesliga season, the team secured relegation and finished 5th in the final table.

On June 29, 2009, TSG Lüdenscheid returned their starting place in the 1st Bundesliga and will thus start the 2009/2010 season in the Landesliga West. The TSG Bremerhaven team came third in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2008/2009 season and was subsequently nominated for the 1st Bundesliga for the 2009/2010 season.

B team

In the summer of 1997 the first B-formation of the club was founded, which started in the 1997/1998 season with the musical theme "Queen" in the regional league West II Latin. Due to a restructuring of the A-team in 1998, almost all dancers switched to the A-formation, so that a B-team could not start the following year.

In March 2002, a new B-team was founded, which again started in the Landesliga West II. The music for “Whistle Down The Wind” was taken over by the A-formation, the choreography was completely revised and arranged for the young team. As second in the table, the team was able to qualify for the promotion tournament to the Oberliga West Latin and took 3rd place there, which also meant promotion to the Oberliga West. In the following year in the Oberliga, the team took 7th place in the overall standings and was relegated to the Landesliga West. Due to restructuring in the A and B team, the team was dissolved after this season.

In the middle of 2007 a B-team was founded again, which started for the first time in the 2007/2008 season with the musical theme "Rock" in the regional league West Latin.

Jazz formations

In 1994 a jazz formation ("Black Angels") was founded, which was at the start with various choreographies for TSG Lüdenscheid in the regional and major league JMD until 2002. At the end of 2002, the "Black Angels" split off from the association.

Sunrise

After four years without a JMD team, the “Sunrise” team - which until then had danced for DJK Eintracht Lüdenscheid - started the 2006/07 season in the Landesliga West II with new music and choreography, the theme of which was shaped by the movie Barefoot was. The dancers hoped for a successful year with the new program. The dancers were able to finish the season after winning four tournaments as first in the table and secured direct promotion to the Association League West JMD.

The dance pedagogue and lecturer at Tanzhaus NRW in Düsseldorf, Cornelia Bühne, is responsible for the team as a trainer .
