TT14 ( T heban T omb 14; Theban Tomb 14) is located in the necropolis of Thebes ( Egypt ) in the section called Dra Abu el-Naga . The tomb belongs to the priest of Amenhotep, the image of Amun , Huy. Huy probably dates to the 19th Dynasty ( New Kingdom ).

Grave complex

Strictly speaking, the tomb of Huy has so far only been a burial chapel carved into the rock, which consists of a decorated room and other rooms that have not yet been examined in detail. The burial chamber has not yet been found and excavated. The first room of the chapel is painted, although the decoration is only partially preserved. On the south wall there is a scene of Huy's coffin being pulled. There are the remains of a ram deity in a shrine and the representation of a statue of Amenhotep I , which is carried by some men. A scene on the north wall shows the dead at the judgment of the dead . There are pictures of funeral ceremonies and Huy with his family. Finally, Amenhotep I and his mother Ahmose Nefertari are depicted as statues. On the ceiling is found twice Huy worshiping the sun god, once in the name of Amun-Re - Harachte and once as Harachte- Atum . Some of the paintings in the burial chapel have not been completed and are only outlined. Later burials were found in the back rooms, which prove that the grave was reused in later times.
