TV Westsachsen or TV-W for short is a private, regional TV station for the Vogtland and the district of Zwickau . It emerged from the programs of TeleVision Zwickau (TV-Z) and Vogtland Regional Fernsehen (VRF) after the VRF went bankrupt. Its seat is in the building of the "Alte Münze" on the Zwickau main market. A local TV information program with various thematic contributions from the Vogtland district and the Zwickau district is broadcast. The broadcaster itself refers to its own designation as “full program” on 24-hour broadcasting . Since 2004, TV Westsachsen (formerly TeleVision Zwickau) has been broadcasting a daily evening magazine with “Tag Aktuell”. This show is moderated by Kim Wutzler and Udo Rupkalwis. Carsten Riedel left the moderation team on February 5, 2018 after almost 14 years.

This program can be received via DVB-T in the district of Zwickau on channel 34 (transmitter Salutstraße) and in Vogtland on channel 51 - end of 2018, channel 23 (transmitter Plauen and Auerbach) as well as in the cable networks of Pÿur , Vodafone Kabel Deutschland in both Districts, in the network of OstTelCom in Werdau and with many private cable providers in the region as well as with Telekom Entertain Germany-wide. There is also a YouTube channel and a live stream on the Internet .
