Tachimachi Point ( Japanese 立 待 岬 Tatimati-misaki , German 'Rising Landspitze' ) is a headland off the Prince Harald coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the northeastern part of the Lützow-Holm Bay , it marks the northeastern extension of the East Ongul Island .
Aerial photographs and measurements of a Japanese Antarctic expedition carried out from 1957 to 1962 were used to map them. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names transferred in 1975 made by Japanese scientists in 1972 naming a partial translation into English.
