Tacker film

The Tacker Film GmbH is a German film production with its own "special interest" DVD label.

The focus is on the publication of DVDs on the areas of cabaret, everyday culture, automobile history and the history of advertising films. Tacker Film has released all of the surviving advertising films of the legendary HB male on DVD (with a detailed interview with Roland Töpfer , the creator of the cartoon character.) Tacker Film has also acquired the DVD rights to the animated films by the Diehl brothers (including creators of the Mecki Figure) and gradually publishes these historical film rarities on DVD.

German cabaret history with u. a. Lore Lorentz , Ernst H. Hilbich , Harald Schmidt comes back to life  in the 6-part DVD edition "Das Kom (m) ödchen" as well as in the publication The Porcupines about the Wolfgang Gruner era . By Hanns Dieter Hüsch all TV recordings were released its cabaret programs on DVD. Programs with Dieter Hildebrandt , Gerhard Polt , Werner Finck and Wolfgang Neuss were also salvaged from the television archives. Tacker Film also records current cabaret programs and publishes them on DVD, such as Jochen Malmsheimer's “Dogensuppe Herzogin” most recently .

The company was founded in 1989 in Cologne. TV journalist and documentary filmmaker Wolfgang Dresler has been the managing director and owner of Tacker Film GmbH since 1994.
