The Junkers EF 128 was a German jet aircraft developed towards the end of the Second World War . It was developed in response to an invitation to tender from the Luftwaffe High Command (OKL) in 1944, as was the Messerschmitt P.1110 , Focke-Wulf Ta 183 , Heinkel P. 1078 and the Blohm & Voss P 212 . A single-seat day fighter with the demanded Heinkel HES 011 - jet engine , four MK-108 - automatic cannon , and a speed of about 1000 km / h in 7000 m.

technology

The draft envisaged a shoulder- wing aircraft with swept wings without a tailplane. The engine was in the stern, the air inlets were located below the wings on the side of the fuselage. Unlike all other designs, the EF 128 was intended as a two-seater all-weather fighter in addition to the single-seater day fighter variant. Both pilots would have sat one behind the other on ejector seats in a pressurized cabin . The armament should consist of four MK 108. A search radar in the nose was also planned.

In January 1945 the decision was made to start series production, the start of which was set for the middle of the year. Due to the end of the war, the plans were no longer implemented.
