As part of the hunter emergency program of emerged towards the end of World War II in the Junkers works , the project development aircraft (EF) 126 a microlight fighter . From this design, the EF 127 version was derived, which was designed as a rocket-propelled object protection fighter. Only minor changes were necessary for this. The EF 127 did not get beyond the dummy stage, while the EF 126 project was continued by the Soviet Union. The V1 was tested without a drive, the V4 with a drive.
