Junkers A 25

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Junkers A 25 aircraft is just a differently motorized variant of the A 20 type . After the Junkers L 2 (169 kW) was available in 1924 and then the Junkers L 2a with 195 kW in 1925, some A 20s were converted to the new engine. From then on, these aircraft were operated by Junkers as Type A 25 .

The other dimensions and properties were retained. Only the top speed increased to approx. 190 km / h. On July 5, 1924, Junkers chief pilot Wilhelm Zimmermann carried out a mail delivery flight from Berlin to Angora for the first time with an A 25 , with the L-2 engine also being tested over a long distance.
