The Junkers A 35 was a single-engine, low- wing multi-purpose aircraft made by the German manufacturer Junkers in 1926. The two-seater model was used to transport mail and newspapers as well as a training aircraft .
history
The A 35 was a further development of the all-metal Junkers A 25 aircraft . As drive a 228 served kW strong Junkers L5 - line engine , occasionally a BMW IV with 235 kW. The chassis could be exchanged for a float frame.
With this type and a Junkers G 24 as a towing machine, tests were carried out on aircraft towing . An A 35 with the serial number 1059 went to the secret flying school of the Reichswehr in the Soviet Union in 1928 and was used there for bombing attempts and on-board weapon tests until 1929.
Junkers A 20 and A 25 were also equipped with the new engine on various occasions and thus aligned with the A 35. However, since no changes were made to the cell, they kept their previous type designations.
