The Junkers K 43 was created as a military variant of the Junkers W 34 cargo aircraft from the German manufacturer Junkers at the end of the 1920s. In the designation, only the order of the digits of the type designation was reversed.

history

The Junkers K 43 was designed as a photo reconnaissance aircraft and as a light bomber. It was produced in the Junkers branch in Limhamn in Sweden, which was able to offer another civil aircraft adaptation for military use. Around 20 of these machines were exported to South America. Foreign buyers were Argentina, Colombia, Finland and Portugal. The machines used in Colombia were named Junkers K 43 do and Junkers K 43 fy due to their engine modifications . The planes for Finland were called Junkers K 43 fa and the planes for Portugal were also called Junkers K 43 fy .
