Messerschmitt P.1110 was the name given to the design of a single-seat jet-powered fighter aircraft made by Messerschmitt AG during World War II . The project was based on the OKL's tender from 1944 for a single - seater fighter with the Heinkel HeS 011 jet turbine, four MK 108s and a top speed of around 1000 km / h.

A special feature of the structural design was the arrangement of the main assemblies. The air inlet for the jet engine was arranged laterally or in a ring around the airframe . The pilot should sit in front of the engine with the armament. This arrangement was groundbreaking and was adopted in most jet-powered fighters of the early post-war period. Due to this aerodynamic design, the P.1110 was mathematically the fastest of all the designs submitted to the OKL. The swept wings corresponded to those of the test aircraft Messerschmitt P.1101 . An ejection seat was provided for the pilot in the pressurized cabin.

The draft was rejected in favor of the Junkers EF 128 along with proposals from other companies . This was justified primarily with the long development time that this novel design would require.
