The Messerschmitt M26 was a touring aircraft that was designed by Messerschmitt Flugzeugbau and manufactured by Bayerische Flugzeugwerke in 1930.

history

The M26 was designed at the suggestion of the US-American Eastern Aircraft Corporation , which then wanted to acquire the reproduction rights for it. However, due to the economic crisis following Black Friday in 1929, the plans could not be implemented. Only one example was built in 1930.

The aircraft was a smaller three-seater variant of the M18 , which was also already made of metal.
