The Messerschmitt M 21 was a school biplane that was designed by Messerschmitt Flugzeugbau and manufactured by Bayerische Flugzeugwerke in the late 1920s.

history

The two-seat M 21 was the company's first biplane and was a further development of the BFW-3a . It had folding wings and a fuel tank in the upper wing. Two prototypes were built, which only differed in the engine.

M 21a
Was built in 1928 and had the aircraft registration D-1566 . It was equipped with an 85 kW (115 PS) Siemens Halske Sh 14 engine.
M 21b
Variant with a Siemens-Halske Sh 12 and the registration number D-1568 .
