The Messerschmitt M27 was a German sports and training aircraft that was designed by the aircraft designers Willy Messerschmitt and Paul John Hall in 1931 and brought out by the Bayerische Flugzeugwerke .
history
The M27 was created in 1931 as a further developed version of the M23 . Originally designed as a competition aircraft, it quickly became widespread and achieved a number of notable achievements. The M27 should build on this success.
Versions
The M27 was built in two versions with different engines:
- The three M27a were equipped with a five - cylinder Siemens-Halske Sh 13A radial engine with 88 hp.
- The following M27b and M27b1 received an Argus-As-8A - in- line engine with 120 hp
construction
It was a sports aircraft in the form of a single-engine, two-seat, cantilever low- wing aircraft with a fixed landing gear, a tubular steel fuselage covered with fabric and wooden wings.
