Tadeusz Trziszka

Tadeusz Trziszka (born January 30, 1948 in Bystrzyca Kłodzka , Poland) is a professor of agricultural sciences . In 2016 he was elected rector of the Wroclaw University of Natural Sciences ( Uniwersytet Przyrodniczy we Wrocławiu ) for a four-year cadence .

Life

Tadeusz Trziszka graduated from an agricultural technical college , which he graduated in 1967. He then took up studies at the Higher Agricultural School in Wroclaw. After graduating in 1972, he started working at the Institute for Warehousing and Food Technology at the Wroclaw Agricultural Academy. 1977 doctorate Tadeusz Trziszka his habilitation took place in 1988. 1994 he was awarded the title of professor. From 1996 to 2002 he was Vice President of the University for International Cooperation and University Development. Tadeusz Trziszka became head of the Chair for Animal Husbandry and Quality Management in 1997. From 2012 he was Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations, and in 2016 he successfully stood for election as Rector of the Natural Science University.

Scientific work

For scientific training and research, Tadeusz Trziszka has visited universities abroad several times. Among other things, in 1978 at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and from 1985 to 1986 with a scholarship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation at the University of Stuttgart-Hohenheim . Tadeusz Trziszka's focus is on food technology . He was head of the EU- funded project POIG - OVOCURA , in which 28 patents on biotechnology were created, which are aimed at the treatment of various diseases, especially of the nervous system. He is also the coordinator of the KIC Food4future project .
