Tadeusz Wielecki

Tadeusz Wielecki (born July 5, 1954 in Warsaw ) is a Polish composer and double bass player.

Wielecki studied double bass with Alfred Wieczorek and Andrzej Mysiński and composition with Włodzimierz Kotoński at the Warsaw Music Academy. He continued his training from 1986 to 1987 with Isang Yun in West Berlin and with Klaus Huber in Freiburg i. Br. Continued.

He is particularly committed to promoting contemporary music in musical education, school music lessons and radio broadcasts for young people. In 1992, along with Lidia Zielińska and Zygmunt Krauze, he was a member of the program committee of the ISCM World Music Days as a representative of the Polish Society for New Music . Since 1999 he has directed the Warsaw Autumn Festival of Contemporary Music . As a double bass player, he primarily plays the contemporary solo repertoire for the instrument. In the improvisation ensemble The Mud Cavaliers he deals with intuitive music .
