Tādsch ol-Moluk or internationally also Tadj ol-Molouk (from Arabic تاج الملوک, DMG Tāǧu'l-Mulūk  'Crown of Kings'; born as Nimtādsch Ayromlu , Persian نیم ‌تاج آیرملو; * March 17, 1896 in Baku , Azerbaijan ; † March 10, 1982 in Acapulco , Mexico ) was the wife of Reza Shah Pahlavi , founder of the Pahlavi dynasty and mother of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi , the last Shah of Persia. Tādsch ol-Moluk married Reza Shah Pahlavi in ​​1916. She was his second wife, the first died in 1904. The marriage had four children: the eldest daughter Schams (* October 18, 1917; † 1996), Mohammad Reza ( * October 26, 1919 in Tehran; † July 27, 1980 in Cairo) and his twin sister Aschraf , (* October 26, 1919; † January 7, 2016), Ali Reza (* April 1, 1922; † October 26, 1954 with a plane crash). In 1922 Reza Shah married his third wife, Turane, and in 1923 the fourth, Esmat. The marriage with Tādsch ol-Moluk continued.

She was the first queen in Iran to hold a public position: on both official and social occasions. She was very committed to the ban on veils . In 1934 Tādsch ol-Moluk appeared for the first time as the first undisguised queen of the population. After the Shah published pictures of his unveiled wife and daughters, the men were encouraged to unveil their wives. In 1941 her husband had to abdicate in favor of their son.

Before the Islamic Revolution in 1979 , she was brought to safety in Los Angeles by her son . There, students attacked the Queen's house in Beverly Hills . She and her daughter continued to flee to Palm Springs . Tādsch ol-Moluk died in Acapulco, Mexico, of complications from leukemia in 1982, seven days before her 86th birthday.
