Taekwondo World Championships 1973

The 1st Taekwondo World Championship took place from May 25 to 27, 1973 in the South Korean capital, Seoul . At the premiere of the event, the competitions were only held in two weight classes for men. There were no competitions for women.

200 athletes and officials from 19 nations took part in the world championship.
