The Tagagawik River is a left tributary of the Selawik River in northwestern Alaska .
The Tagagawik River rises in the Nulato Hills at an altitude of 500 m . It flows in a northerly direction along the western flank of the mountain range and reaches the Kotzebue-Kobuk Plain. The Tagagawik River forms numerous meanders and oxbow lakes along its course . It finally reaches the Selawik River after about 150 km of flowing, 45 km east-southeast of the Selawik settlement . The catchment area covers around 4000 km².
The river name is derived from a traditional Eskimo name.
