In March 2018, ARD-alpha stopped repeating the weekly mirror and changed the format of the Tagesschau flashback to "20 years ago".

The Tagesschau 30 years ago was broadcast daily in the morning program in 2007 and 2008 on the occasion of the flashback to the German Autumn on hr television . However, on February 27, 2008, this format was discontinued.

Repetitions of older Tagesschau programs were sometimes also broadcast on SWR television.
