Tahara House (Bamberg)
The Tahara House on the Jewish cemetery in Bamberg , a town in the Bavarian administrative district of Upper Franconia , was built between 1885 and 1890. The Taharahaus at Siechenstrasse 102 is a protected architectural monument .
history
During the Second World War, the city rented the building to Bosch, who repurposed it as a metal warehouse. After 1945 the building came back into the possession of the Jewish community in Bamberg. It was extensively renovated from 1993 to 1997.
description
The single-storey solid building with an almost square floor plan with a raised central section was erected in simple, classicist forms.
