Tahmina Kohistani
Tahmina Kohistani (born June 18, 1989 in Kapisa ) is an Afghan athlete.
Tahmina Kohistani studies sport at the University of Kabul and intends to establish a sport academy for women in Afghanistan.
At the World Junior Athletics Championships in 2008 , she ran in the sprint over 100 m for 15.00 seconds. At the World Indoor Athletics Championships in 2012 in Istanbul, she ran a personal best of 9.32 seconds in the 60 m sprint .
She was the only Afghan participant in the 2012 Summer Olympics . She started in the sprint over 100 m and finished 32nd in the heats with a time of 14.42 seconds. The 1.60 meter tall and 52 kilogram heavy athlete once again achieved a personal best.
