Taiskirchner cycle path

The Taiskirchner cycle path is 33 km long and is a circular cycle path . It begins at the Fit-Treff route in Markt Taiskirchen and leads to Altmannsdorf to the reservoir and continues to Arling, Helfingsdorf , Hohenerlach, Unterbreitenried, Wohleiten, Flohleiten, Edtleiten, via Tiefenbach past the Wetterkreuz, to Ellerbach, Wiesenberg, Brandstätten, Jedretsberg , Zahra, Wolfsedt, and back to the Fit-Treff starting point in Taiskirchen.

The Kapuzinermarterl is right at the start. At this point you have a panoramic view of Hochficht (Bohemian Forest), of the communities of St. Roman, Kopfing, St. Willibald, Altschwendt, Riedau, Dorf an der Pram, Kallham, Pram, of the shoulder mountain in Pram, of the community of Haag am Hausruck, on the Pöstlingberg (Linz) and even on the Frauenstein (Molln).

Attractions

Several Marterl and chapels are right on the bike path . The Rotzaunkreuz and the Wetterkreuz can be found in Edtleiten . The weather cross was built by the surrounding residents in 1869 because of the strong thunderstorms and storms that prevailed that year. With a height of about 5 meters, it is a striking sight. On the cross, the instruments of Christ's passion are depicted. It was renovated in 1925 and 1967, and in 1967 the handkerchief of Jesus Christ was impressively carved from oak by Johann Unfried and attached to the weather cross.

The Ellerbergkreuz and the Machtlakreuz are also on the cycling route in Ellerbach .

In the further course of the route in Wiesenberg lie the Wiesenbergerkapelle (err. 1894), the Gaderbauernsäule , towards Günzing the Günzingerkreuz and the Binderhiaslkapelle ; In Bruckleiten there is the Loiprecht chapel (err. 1905, with Lourdes grotto), in Zahra the Reinthalerkapelle and the Brandstättnerkapelle (err. 1904), in Wolfsedt the 5 meter high Gumpingerkreuz is built. The Gumpingerkreuz shows Jesus on the cross and Mary. The cross was erected in 1875 as a result of two large court fires.
