The Enns Cycle Path (R7) starts in Flachau-Winkel ( Salzburg ) and runs to Enns ( Upper Austria ) on a route of 240 to 280 km, depending on the route chosen.

Route

The Ennsradweg runs mostly on bike paths and rarely traveled side streets of Enns along. You overcome a difference in altitude of 920 meters.

The cycle path begins near the source of the Enns in Flachau-Winkel at an altitude of 1200  m above sea level. A. and leads via Radstadt to Mandling.

  • Styria

From Mandling the route goes via Schladming and Haus im Ennstal to Pruggern, where you can choose either via Stein an der Enns ( Sölktäler Nature Park ) or the somewhat more challenging route via Gröbming . The two paths meet again at Öblarn and continue at the foot of the Grimmings , past Trautenfels Castle to Irdning , Liezen and Admont , where a detour to Admont Abbey is recommended. The route continues through the Gesäuse National Park via Hieflau and Landl to Altenmarkt . From Hieflau to Weyer , the path leads over the Eisenstrasse, except for short sections of the cycle path . Between Weng im Gesäuse and Altenmarkt you can also choose the shorter variant over the Buchauer Sattel .

  • Upper Austria

Next the route transferred Weyer and Ternberg by Steyr with the Christkindl pilgrimage church and then finally to Enns to get where the bike path at the Danube Bike Path connects the Enns and the Danube flows. Between Altenmarkt and Reichraming , the cycle path through the Reichraminger Hintergebirge is an alternative from mid-April to the end of October . This path partly follows the route of the former Reichraming forest railway .

Rail connections

A railway line runs from Radstadt in the immediate vicinity of the Enns Cycle Path.
