Takahiro Sekine ( Japanese 関 根 貴 大 Sekine Takahiro ; born April 19, 1995 in Tsurugashima ) is a Japanese football player who is under contract with the Urawa Red Diamonds .

Career

Sekine was trained by the Urawa Red Diamonds and completed over 100 league games for the team as a professional. On August 20, 2017, after moving to Germany, he made his debut for FC Ingolstadt 04 when he was substituted on in the 61st minute in the second division game against SSV Jahn Regensburg . The FCI lost at the end with 2: 4; it should remain his only game for the Ingolstadt professionals.

After a loan to the Belgian VV St. Truiden in the 2018/19 season , the midfielder did not return to Ingolstadt and was sold to his old club, the Urawa Red Diamonds .

National team

In 2016, Sekine made four international matches for the Japanese U-20s and one for the U-23s .
